First attempt at pasta making

Inspired by the last couple of weeks spent in Italy, I've decided to try making fresh pasta. Wish me luck!

Bees at Down House

Darwin was fascinated by bees, and his 'laboratory' at Down House (a potting shed) now has a beautiful observation hive.

Down House in Kent: Darwin's house

This is where Charles Darwin lived with his wife and children and did much of his research. Dotted around the gardens are little weed plots which Darwin used to observe natural selection.

What's the point in this?

Why do people scoop up their dog mess, put it in a little bag and then leave it in the middle of the path anyway. I've seen a lot of this recently and I just don't understand.
